On a live slide holding a thin film of water, nauplii are monsters compared with most of the inhabitants. They jump in and out of picture, disrupting the whole area. As with most action photography, the answer is to 'blaze away', a technique the ledlyt and camera combination encourages. Sooner or later the subject will be in frame, in focus, and photogenic for a second or two, and you have your picture.
