Algal colony 40X
Wild Fluotar 40X. This is probably Tetraspora, a colonial green alga.
The cells live in a common sheath, which can just about be seen. The
background has not been 'airbrushed'. The ledlyt produces very even
illumination, and returning to a condenser is difficult. The sharp
black specks are dust on the imaging chip surface. Solid state
imagers are not as good on colour fidelity, but film is more 'muddy'.
